I removed the code to prevent the spam, but theres still the issue of loosing authentication after a few weeks and it cycling nicks. Any ideas?

Thanks, but i think i'm over complicating things more than needed. All i was after was something to log the chat activity, which i figured out right in the eggdrop.config file.
