Ok after two weeks of using the cvs snapshot, i can say it works like a charm.
Nice to see that egdrop is still under heavy developing after so many years.

OK after compiling the snapshot of 1.8 the first thing i am wondering is the huge increase of the bin. The 1.6.19 bin was 1MB big, the 1.8 is 20MB. And another thing is, after <./configure> | <make config> and <make install> i try to <make sslcert> and this fails with "Please run "make ins...

Outdated eggdrop version, poor quality patch, source not obtained from official location. Try ftp://ftp.eggheads.org/pub/eggdrop/source/snapshot/eggdrop1.8-snapshot.tar.gz instead of going through this pain. ok, do you have a sample tcl socket script for me? i don´t know where i should start, i am totaly scripting noob, but like to learn :) i thought there must be away to catch the log´s while there written into the *.log file. Like: Rsyslog daemon > write a line in the *.log file > and catch this line ...

is there a way to use .tcl files to make the output more configurable?

Guess the Topic say´s everything, i search for a script which takes the messages from rsyslog and post it.
I know you can use tcp/udp to use a rsylog on another server, but is there a way to use eggdrop too?
