I made a short test. It's working now. Great, thanks! By the way, sorry for reporting that bug so lately, it came earlier to my mind, but I always falsely thought "known bug, verified bug, fix promised, will be fixed in further version", with the new version I wondered why it has not been ...

I never thought about the Alt Gr key, it's normal for me. Until now I never had any problems with it anywhere. Here is a pretty good picutre of the German qwertz keyboard from wiki. Alt-91 does work, it will result in [ in Defero. Only AltGr+8 will only in Defero not result in a [. Am I the first an...

Okay, protect-telnet has been set to 0 and set ident-timeout 10 to 10. I think ident-timeout was critical here. My firewall didn't allow to listen on the ident port. I also think I understood why you did add an ident server. If the ident request will be answered fast, then Defero can input the passw...

Ok, I downloaded new version, fresh installed, and I am quite impressed. Almost perfect. - your option, not to clear console on connection break down, is great - disable scroll lock feature missing (new messages will always force to scroll down, that can be disturbing when you want to read something...

I can't say I fully understand what you are saying desired. Telnet localhost?. Okay, hard to explain for me. But I try. 1. Login to your shell account using Putty (or any other SSH client). 2. type: telnet 127.0.0.1 <telnet-port-of-your-eggdrop> 3. enter username and password 3. BOOM, you are on th...

By the way I thought about your idea of implementing SSH into Defero. That would be great. Because 1.) Very good firewall workarround, in most cases (not all) it is possible to SSH to the shell. After the SSL connection is established Defero can do telnet 127.0.0.1 telnet-port. 2.) The eggdrop telne...

I'm not aware of any software I use that reconnects automatically other than my IRC client. Not really much point in doing that if, for example, the bot has shutdown. Sometimes happens to me when I type rehash or got a segfault (eggdrop bug crash). I have tried to be more informative with messages ...

Thanks for all your help. Ok, I was able to reproduce it. Here is a script which I wrote to show you the error. It has been tested and hopefully I did not mess up and you can reproduce it. proc isutimer_ { id } { foreach utimer [utimers] { set isid [lindex $utimer 2] if { $id == $isid } { return 1 }...

I have an even better idea for bots who - crashed - shutdown - user lost internet connection (24 hour force disconnect, bad Wifi/3g connection) - shell lost internet connection just in time the telnet client was still connected... Idea: - no popups - no cleanup messages - just notify the user that t...

utimers returns nothing?

utimers when called with .tcl partyline it shows a list with all utimers. But when I call utimers from another proc which gets invoked by a bind it returns always nothing. Even when there are still utimers (which I see, I tested to type .tcl utimers on partyline again). Why is that? I also testet se...

few more wishes: - option disable scroll lock (when there is new output from the bot it will scroll. it's not possible to read the old messages as long as new messages come. This can be quite disturbing while reading. - *nix support Unfortunately there is no *nix version and WINE does not work as we...

By all means I'd like to ask for a feature for tcl developers. First, could you offer the downloadable database again? I don't like the idea to do a http request on your server for every query and you probable also wouldn't like it if I do a ip2c request for everyone in channel every few hours. (for...

3. I am assuming your third point is regarding the connection strings file (connect.xml) going into a subdirectory of users 'My Documents'. I am aware that it would probably have been more consistent to put this in users 'AppData/Roaming'. However, I was not aware that this gives a problem in porta...
