Wrap up an eggdrop 1.8 release

Hi, The current release of eggdrop is 1.6.21 and from Oct 2011 - which is now three years ago. Should we try to wrap up a new release of eggdrop and make an official release of eggdrop 1.8 ? Does anyone have an overview of which pieces we are missing to do a stable release? I will be happy to help, ...
