I do hope that you know to change "botname"

make sure to kill the bot.. then remove your user,chan,note and pid fil.. and then start the bot with "./eggdrop -mn yourconfigfile.conf" check in putty or whatever you are using that the bot says "joining channel etc etc"... then check mirc (or what ever) an type "/msg your...

answer to /msg bot hello or to the server ?

-n is also usefull when you wanna know whats wrong...

is your configfile named eggdrop.conf ?

And look under that last line that you pasted.. There should be a msg on what LINE the error accourd.. Past that too and maybe we can help ya..

I tried a fine little program (pisg http://pisg.sourceforge.net/ ) for making stats in html files (out of my logfiles)...
