Awesome script. Many thanks for this. On my channel right now and working perfectly. Might I suggest as a refinement in a future version that when the game is off the !help and !trivia commands are also off. Easy enough to add a switch for that to be an optional function, I'll add it to my to do li...

You could just comment that line out if you wanted to as it only duplicates the !trivia command anyway (both bring up the command reference help details).

I've found a small bug in the script that I released in this post. Find these two lines in the script: putserv "PRIVMSG $channel :\003$categcol1\That is not a valid category. Please try again." unbind pubm -|- * strip_colour_choices And comment them out like so: # putserv "PRIVMSG $ch...

Trivia 2000 Version 2.3 Released

After a couple of months away from this script again, emails from a couple of users kicked me into doing some work on "Trivia 2000" again. So here's the latest release. This contains a couple of fixes, a couple of simple improvements and a couple of things that people have been asking for ...

Ahh, you mean a sort of rank system.

Ok I'll stick it on the "maybe" list and look at it.

Don't hold your breath though, there's a lot of other stuff on the "todo" list for Trivia 2000 and I rarely get time to spend on it these days so development is somewhat slow. :D

Well I'm always open to suggestions with the script but don't actually understand what you mean, if you can explain it a bit more thoroughly for me, if I like the idea I'll stick it on my "to do" list for Trivia 2000.

Cheers

the file15, etc, errors are errors from open/close operations.. I'd dump the script if it has those kinds of errors. Plenty of better written trivia scripts available. Thanks, I'll try not to take that too personally  In fairness though I never tested the script on Windows eggdrops and only ev...

There is an option for users to add question & answers for a trigger in the channel (as per moxquiz)? Having users contribute might also speed up database expansion. :) I did consider it to be honest and it's still on my list of possible things to add. The major downside to that sort of system ...

how about sending me those 1500 questions? that way i will only have 18,500 to edit!!! Almost all the questions I typed out are already included in the seven categories supplied with the script and the current files I have here in my build area are broken down as below. It's actually more than I or...

If you or anyone else for that matter do manage to put together question databases for the script, feel free to send them to me and I'll include them in future releases. :D

I had to type those original ones out by hand and after 1500 odd questions it got a bit tedious. :D

starpossen, from what you've said you arent having the same problem as kuto is describing. If the game stops after one question when you have issued the !start command, that's exactly what its supposed to do. The !start command is only supposed to give one question at a time. If you want multiple qu...
