Eggdrop, port forwarding, and DCC

Okay, I seem to be having the opposite problem of other users here. First box running Eggdrop, behind a router, listening on 3334, it plus DCC ports of 2010 - 2020 are forwarded from the outside world to its internal IP addy Second box behind a router running mIRC, DCC port range set to 2070-2080. t...

Custom Flags/variables per channel

It occurs to me that there are a lot more intellegent people here that probably know this than me getting frustrated with it :) I am trying to set up a script that needs to have channel-specific variables/flags to control what rules set for dice is to be used for that channel. IE, channel #x can be ...

Ahhh...I think I understand :) The router is actually a very old laptop running Debian so I should in theory be able to fix it now, or if not refer the maintainer of said laptop to your post and get it working :) Thanks for the help and sorry about the delayed response!

Portrange not working or...?

More information that is probably needed, but better more than not enough. The bot can't ask anyone as it won't be aware of the channels that exsist. There's no telling what channels will be created for various games, I simply want the bot to respond to a "invite #channel" command given to it by users with a certain flag by joining said channel.

Inviting the bot?

Okay, I'm quite willing to just be told I'm an idiot, but I have yet to figure this one out. The point of this bot is to provide a dice server for an RPG IRC server. The main function I need it to be able to do is to join channels its invited to, ie the GM types "/msg bot invite #channel" ...

I have no idea what the problem is as I have no way of attempting to access the bot externally :) As I said before I cannot chat with the bot, DCC or ctcp, as dns obviously doesn't resolve to my internal 192.168 address and so it kicks me out with a bogus IP message in the telnet console. Reverse DCC possible?

Okay, here's the situation. I have a bot that sits behind a gateway that works as an fserv. It connects fine, standard commands are working fine, I can telnet in from another box behind the gateway, no DCC because obviously it complains that I'm giving it bogus IP info, aka my internal address which...
