im running the windrop on windows xp.
i don't want the creation of the pid file. is there a way to do it ?

in dcc :

but nick isn't changed.

in the conf file i've changed from

set keep-nick 1

to

set keep-nick 0

but the nickname of the bot is always the same.

how can i change the nick of an eggdrop on the fly,using dcc ?

if i change server,problems don't go away,because peoples aren't so happy to change it cuz all their friends are already in the old one.

rsteam webpage is down. btw they don't reply to email messages.

i want that everyone is able to jump from ircnet room #aaaa to dalnet room #bbbb only by clicking a link that i will write on the topic of the room #aaaa on ircnet or as welcome message...

link can be clicked only when its written in a webpage. if u write it in a topic,u can't click it.

if your server is little and for a limited number of trusted peoples everything will be good. but don't forget : the morons are everywhere. in 1998 i've started a room in irc.msn.com and they have destroyed it. in 2002 i've open a room in irc.tin.it and the same thing has happened.

oh guy. if u own your personal server,u don't fix the main problem,the denial of service. the moron could dos your server and everything will go down. u can't protect it succesfully against a dosnet of 200 linked shells. each site or server will be down. while its more difficult to kill a big server...

im not responsable for what he does. btw the word friend is not right. should be "friend" only because i see him everyday and sometime has helped me with the room.
