ok so you did rehash the services not the ircd :-)
and as said everything with the services is certainly correct, just check the passwords and corresponding nicks twice

oh man you really confuse me.

What do the irc services have to do with a server rehash? nothing. I suggest you check again the spelling of the nick's password if nickserv still complaints, drop the nickname and reregister it.

He's a permanent owner and by that he has full rights on the bot. He should set the password himself. And if he can't dcc chat the bot you still have the possibilty to telnet on the bot and change everything then

open the file compat/inet_net.c and go to row 83, there you got two lines case AF_INET6: return (egg_inet_ntop6(src, dst, size)); comment those two lines out by putting // in front op them. That's it. I had the same prob. I'm not shure but i suppose it has to do with the ipv6 support missing in cygw...

you are talking about two different things. The identify towards nichlserv has absolutely nothing to do with your bots ident. Nickserv a service which you can use to register your nickname and therefore need to identify to it so that it recognises you as the owner of the nick. The ident of the bot i...

you can't change that
you nee to run it with ./ because the eggdrop is not installed on the whole system by root but only is yours.
I'm not 100% shure but i think that's it :)
