info line

is it possible to set a public info line (the kind that shows when a person enters a channel) for someone other than yourself if you have master/owner status? Everything I find seems to apply only to a person setting their own.

well that didn't work. In dcc chat (I am the owner) I typed .dump nick newnick and it did nothing. The bots nickname is still the same.

bot nick change

I'm sure I saw a post on this some where but for the life of me I can't find it now. Is there a command to allow you to temporarily change your bots nick via telnet/dcc?

That's exactly what I did. Was something so simple that I just overlooked the obvious!! Any clue on why all of a sudden it would set passwords for the bots? or perhaps its just that its taking the telnet passwords and inserting them? Just seems strange they'd do it on their own!!

Thanks :)

bot passwords

I'm trying to relink my bots after having to move one due to the server being hacked. All of a sudden it seems all my bots have passwords set even though I never set them. How do I get rid of them or do I have to redo all their information? The error I get is bad password on connect attempt. Help!!!...

Chatterbots

I had a friend ask about setting up an AI or chatterbot for her IRC channel. I've tried the alice.tcl but that's not the sort of script she's looking for. She'd like one that learns based on the chat in the channel. Any suggestions on a good eggdrop script for this?? It would be greatly appreciated ...

I don't believe a sysinfo script is what I need. I run the bot on irc and would like a simple pub command like !server and the users would know what irc server the bot is on so they could switch to that server to avoid lag. I've just had no luck in finding one.
