I'm having same problem also, sorta....
Hello I have been having the same problems on my redhat box, I did as mentioned above "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=My_location" and it fixed the problem so I could finish compile, problem is when I finished editing the eggdrop.conf file and went to start the eggdrop it was giving me the same er...
