I was wondering when this issue was going to pop up. Its caused because Google automatically forwards you on to your local google server based on the host you connect to it from. Because your server is in germany, Google (thoughtfully) sends you on to google.de, however since most of your query resu...

Thats what you get for being too tricky :)
The problem occurs when you get a "groups matching" result as well.

I fixed with a compromise from the old style to the new way.

I'll revisit this later to clean it up.

So, 1.7.3 is Here

Well isnt that just typical. As soon as I fix one thing, Google go and change their source on me ! So, I've fixed that AND changed the regex structure quite a lot to attempt to cope with future google changes. Hopefully this will hold us over until the next version in (probably) a couple weeks with ...

Ok, I've provided an interim fix for this, but I wont be uploading it to the egghelp tcl archive just yet as I have a few others things to fix up before I do that first. So, here's a temporary fix that will stop the script mangling the search parameters and allow you to search for stuff in quotes. I...

Never mind, I've found the problem.
I'll fix it & release a bugfix update asap.

Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm nearly done on the next version of incith:google. All of the changes and bugs mentioned so far are done.

I'm just running through my regression test scripts in both eggdrop & windrop and will hopefully post a new version tomorrow night.

I've already had a couple of complaints that a channel notice was not exactly what people wanted, so I'll simply add (another) option to force all replies via private msg AND private notice. ie: set notice_reply to 1 & force_private to 1 = private notice reply. set notice_reply to 0 & force_...

It seems that using a trigger character which is either a special function to a regex or just plain a special char causes some issues with the script due to the way its being matched. With that in mind, I'm going to change the way its matched and hopefully solve (once and for all) the issues caused ...

You could just grab a copy of tcl 8.3 from tcl.tk and grab the http.tcl from that.

I know its annoying grabbing a 2.5meg file to get a 25k file, but hey :)

Note, I should probably have put that I only tested this on windows with tcl 8.4 with http 2.4.

(.4 & .3 in Linux tho.)

Well crap.
I found another bug, but fortunately, its a pretty low grade one.

If there are no results for a "!g define:" search, you'll get a tcl error in your bot log and no results returned.
It works fine if there *is* a match tho.

Fixed (intelligently) in next version :)

Well, its been delayed & delayed, but I think I'm done on the next version. I've tested & retested almost every single function to find any remaining bugs, fixed a bunch of typos & started on a massive codebase cleanup! :P The changelog for v1.6 is in the tcl as per usual, but heres a sn...

Once I finish the changes I'm working on right now :)

I'm just polishing up the debugging crapola I had to put in to fix a few things.
And yes, I noticed several things broke recently.

Perhaps tonight, but I'll post here for sure :)

Well, googlefight isn't really a part of google itself, so I'm a little disinclined to go down that path just yet. I'll put it in the wishlist of things to think about one day tho. Its a bit like the stock quotes part of google, its a legitimate google function, but it gets the data from Yahoo ... s...
