Is there any chance that this patch (or one that logs bot responses also) could be included into the main source? I don't want to accuse it of being a bug, but the config file *does* say that the "p" option logs all public chat - which implies that output from bot SAY/ACT is not considered...

1. Windows or *nix? 2. Are you running three different instances of the binary, or same binary but three different config files? I'm running the latter - I can see which bot is which by the names of the config files following the ./eggdrop command: $ ps -fu utserver UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD...

It's not a compilation issue, it's a config issue. Look for the lines that read: #### BLOWFISH MODULE #### loadmodule blowfish You've probably still got the blowfish module (or whatever encryption module) commented out. When the bot starts (with the -m option), you need to connect to it and establis...

Aw, soddit - yup, you're right.

Can a forum mod move this thread over into the correct forum to continue the discussion over there? It may have flown under the radar of eggdrop module programmers being over here.

Ta muchly!

Just as an update.... I've played with some of the source code and come to the conclusion that.. I'm not a C++ programmer. Is there a forum where I could request these changes to be made at all? I'm guessing it not to be too arduous a process for someone that knows the code structure more intimately...

However, user's solution here seems to be sufficient (just load his last code). - yah, that was the one I flagged up, but won't work for the megahal module. I *can* edit all my scripts to do so, but was hoping for a single tweak somewhere that I'm missing. Ah, well. Cheers for the response, anyway!

Logging issue: logging public chat misses bot public message

Apologies if this is the wrong place, but I've searched a few places and tried out a few things and I'm not convinced it's something I'm doing wrong (although I'm happy to be proved wrong on that front). Bot Ver: eggdrop v1.6.17 Bot OS: Linux 2.6.17-1.2142_FC4 I've got my bot logging in various chan...

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. In searching all forums, I couldn't work out why the bot's own messages weren't getting logged - I thought there was some problem with the PUB bind, but I still wasn't getting everything. Way to go, forbjok. Thanks muchly for this! Yahoo! :D Oh, one other thin...

okay - guess I shoulda studied the README more closely, then! Is it acceptible for me to forward my changes to the dev team for inclusion considerations? I'm one of those "other people may find this useful - I won't keep it to myself" types so prefer to give away copies for others to use a...

Okay - in which case, if I modify the source code am I required to post my changes here? Or submit them to the headshed somewhere?

Opchars appearing in logfiles

Tried searching on this here and via google, but not seen the right question yet (this could just be me missing it, mind). Using eggdrop1.6.17 under FC4, all compiled and working successfully, connecting to an UnrealIRCD network. No probs there. I've enabled the extended opchars since our IRCD uses ...
