try adding -mnt to the command line. eg:

eggdrop -mnt eggdrop.conf

thats how i test new scripts

i get a ping timeout when i try to connect to any itc server through a proxy. i setup the proxy on my homemachine andi know its working because i get an ident request from the irc server. localhost HTTP/1.0 200 - -irc.echo34.com- *** Looking up your hostname... - -irc.echo34.com- *** Found your host...

i was just typing:

./eggdrop -nt

instead of typing:

./eggdrop -nt eggdrop.conf

but the proxy still doesnt allow me to connect;

when i use "set firewall"blah.blah.blah.blah:xxxx""

eggdrop doent stay running in my processes

i dont get it

its not connecting to an irc network though, thats the whole problem

when i run: ./eggdrop -nt i get "NO BOT NAME" so i put in: ./eggdrop -nt eggdrop.simple.conf and the console doesnt change, it wont allow me to the session as a DCC conversation BTW, i am trying to get eggdrop to run through a proxy with the line set firewall "x.x.x.x:xxxx" so i ...
