yeah I got the right modes set im just not getting anything relevent

mkcobrxsvh (msgs, kicks/modes, cmds, misc, bots, raw, files, server, server output, share traffic).

What setting do you have for 'set net-type'

and, did you look in the logs for actual error messages?

net-type is 5
it connects and Nickserv hassles it .. the logs show nothing out of the ordinary

I dont know where else to turn. I host a bot on my system (Suse linux 10.2) My eggdrop works on every server BUT this one. I tried thier support channel and they are completly flabbergasted. it connects and promptly "times out" there is nothing wrong with my config, all my ports are open, ...
