Bot changes mode of channel unwanted

Post by coolhva »

I've installd eggdrop 1.6.13 and averything just worked out..

BUT

..when I let it join a channel it's sets it to +l 1 (limit 1) why.\
In eggdrop.conf I adjusted it right but it still doesn't work.
How can I change this?

Second question

How can I make a user with a password that automaticly get ops?
and a user that log's in using a javaapplet (jpilot). Is it possible to get someone using jpilot getting ops with login (not autologin)?

Thanks in Advance,

Coolhva

1: Thias can only be a script issue.

Eggdrop by default, does not do limit managment.

Are you sure you heve reviews the settings correlty?

2: I fail to understand exactly what you are getting at

For auto-op (extremly insecure), see ".whlp whois".

Thank's.

The channel thing i've worked out.

Now what I want.

I want serveral users (with a dynamic IP) to use the bot to get op in a channel.

So how to add the users (with the hostmask) and how do they authenticate?

Can users have a password, then login on to the bot and then get an op?

This is the bot eggdrops work.

Simply create a newuser, for each use you want to have access.

Eggdrops standard hostmask should be enough to get you going.

Ask themt o set a password with "/msg <bot> pass <password>".

Then for them to get ops, they type "/msg <bot> op <password> #channel".

You may also find reading the getting started guide on http://www.egghelp.org/ will help a lot.
