Problems with saving channel settings

Hello,

I experience some major problems with my eggdrop (1.6.6 on Debian 2.2): It ignores channel settings in it's configuration file and it doesn't save the channel settings when I type .save on the party line. I have to set all settings manually through the partyline (.chanset ..) and only then it works. I have checked the .conf several times without success.
Is this possibly a bug? Am I just too stupid?

Thanks much in advance for any help!

As you put it, you are just too stupid

There are 2 types of channel records in eggdrop, static and dynamic.

Static channels are created in the configfile, using the "channel add" command. I would sugest removeing all the lines that you have put in to do with your channel in the config file, as it just complicates things, and gets in the way.

The second type of channel, dynamic, is added via the partyline. You use the ".+chan" command to add a channel.

It is far more simple to add and maintain a dynamic channel.

naswurst: are you saying it doesn't reload the channel settings on restart? is that what happens? well the first thing i'd do is check if the disk is full  or the shells quota exceeded.

".save" saves both the channel and userlists.
