user defined flags????

maybe I am missing something here like my brain but when doing a .help whois I see references to "user-defined flags A-Z and 0-9". Somebody want to explain to me how these are set and unset? I cant find any documentation on the subject.

.chattr handle +A
it is now set. you can now do flag matching with it in your scripts just like any other flags.
