This happens when you have a user-record for the bot saying it's 1 name, but when it connects, it says another name.

Check the value of botnick in the config file, it should match the handle you gave it when adding it with .+bot.

i'm not sure but the problem could also be with the password set in netset.tcl. i'm not sure that's the error you get if this is the case, but since this IS the netbots.tcl section of the forum i thought i'd say this anyway =)

This is definatly a problem at ink level and not netbots.tcl.

It occurs when eggdrop is expecting one bot, but gets another.

We had exactly the same problem. Sure u loaded the transfer and share modules in the config-file?

You do not need the share or transfer modules to link eggdrop.

I have a bot running with only the console and notes module, that work perfectly fine without.

The share module is only needed, if you wish to share the userfiles between bots. The transfer module, the same reason, but share mod needs it, as it contains the code to actualy transfer the file.

The problem was that the port that the bots was using was used by someone else...the bot connected with annother port..... That is fixed now, and all the bots are linked...
