what could cause it? random surges of electricity caused by alien transporter beams? files get corrupted sometimes, thats just a fact of life (and why we have md5 hashes).

Commari,

Try opening up the script, searching for "ÐÏࡱá", and deleting it.

Provide some sort of link to it, and it can be looked into.

lame? there are literally thousands of things that can cause file corruption in some way. most of them untraceable. who's to say that my explanation is wrong (though it is incredibly unlikely). as i said, this is why we have such tools as md5hashes, and any other kind of crc checking devices, as files can just randomly get corrupted when transmitted or moved accross e-m devices. an example of this would be for you to copy a file between 2 floppy disks about 10000 times. I can guarantee that it will suffer some kinda corruption in the end.
