Fastbase mysql.sock problem

Hi there,

I have recently moved my eggdrop from a host onto my own server, however i now cant run any of the mysql commands i have working before.
They all come back with the following error:

Tcl error [rank]: Error 2002 (Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2))

Mysql works fine on the server for webpages however it cant connect via eggdrop. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Stupid question maybe but is the file there in that location
