IS THAT A CODE BUG????

Post by Jane`Lane »

dear friends, I encountered a problem with one of my eggdrops:
in the partyline I can read the following messages:

[15:26] <UnToT> [03:00] (!) timer drift -- spun 55 minutes

[15:27] <UnToT> [03:00] * Last context: tclhash.c/684 [Tcl proc: nb_gotcmd, param: $_bot1 $_bot2 $_bot3]
[15:27] <UnToT> [03:00] * Please REPORT this BUG!
[15:27] <UnToT> [03:00] * Check doc/BUG-REPORT on how to do so.
[15:27] <UnToT> [03:00] * Wrote DEBUG
[15:27] <UnToT> [03:00] * SEGMENT VIOLATION -- CRASHING!

and then the bot dies for EOF... can't explain this by myself, I've already recompiled the eggdrops and anything has changed.
I have the timer drift error on both the eggdrops running on the same machine, but only one of them has the other problem...
They all are running version 1.6.17... can you help me, please???
thanks,
Jane

unfortanly that error msg doesnt tell us much, other than it crashing using a timer somewhere in/around the nb_gotcmc proc..
anything interesting in that DEBUG file it wrote ?

dear greenbear, unfortunately this is the first time I have this kind of troubles with an eggdrop, and I don't know which informations you need to resolve them
if you are so kind to tell me where search more info about, I'll find them!!!
anyway the tcl version is netbots 4.09 and I read these other lines in partyline:

[20:51] <UnToT> [03:00] * Last context: tclhash.c/684 [Tcl proc: *msg:op, param: $_msg1 $_msg2 $_msg3 $_msg4]
[20:51] <UnToT> [03:00] * Please REPORT this BUG!
[20:51] <UnToT> [03:00] * Check doc/BUG-REPORT on how to do so.
[20:51] <UnToT> [03:00] * Wrote DEBUG
[20:51] <UnToT> [03:00] * SEGMENT VIOLATION -- CRASHING!
