Eggdrop Connecting Problem

Seems that you haven't set the correct flags to your botas or something is wrong.

When I start the bots the hub bot gives this problem:

[16:18] Telnet connection: thedweep.homeip.net/1413
[16:18] Denied telnet: oddjob@thedweep.homeip.net, No Access
[16:19] Telnet connection: thedweep.homeip.net/1429
[16:19] Denied telnet: oddjob@thedweep.homeip.net, No Access
[16:20] Telnet connection: thedweep.homeip.net/1439
[16:20] Lost connection while identing [thedweep.homeip.net/1439]

I can't figiure out what causes the problem. Every setting is correct(according to my knowledge of course

) Could someone help me with this?

PS: Both bots are 1.6.8

The flags are +ghp for both bots, that should be correct

Umnh, but if you got +h for both bots it makes them both to be hub bots so you should set +h only for one bot. Change the flags for your hub bot to +ghp and for the leaf bot try +gs. Then wait and it should connect.
If you got invalid handles try .chhandle old_handle new_handle. after this your botnet should work just fine.

flags are not the problem. hostmasks are. you haven't added that hostmask to the record of the bot trying to connect (with +host)

They link, but the file transfer just won't start

Try .unlink <bot> to unlink and then .link again.

this is everything that happens:

I use telnet, maybe that's it, the bots doesn't save their userfile also(which is on in the eggdrop.conf)

Thou must add these lines to the all config files :
loadmodule share
loadmodule transfer

Without those your botnet will work fine but won't share it's userfiles.

both modules are looded, that's why I don't get it, it's suppose to work.

I made the bots from scratch and they work now, I think I know what the problem was.
