I have eggdrop 1.6.1, I need some other way to dcc chat with the bot, coz via my network connection it wont work. And I dont like telnet coz you cant control paste (not easy for those nasty hostmasks) and you cant see if you typed something wrong.

Any ideas what I can use?

You can use PuTTY it's only one file!

Well here is how you can get dcc chats workin, im assuming your using mirc(variant) and have a router? open mirc and go DCC > Options Do a + on DCC and click Options, should be the first one under it. Under DCC ports, put a range of say 5-10. IE mine are First: 6006 Last: 6010. Now go into your router setings and setup forwading on this same range to your lan IP. lasty get your actual IP and hostname and go up to Connect > Local Info in mirc. Fill in both boxes with your WAN info, then uncheck BOTH on connect always get: boxes. Then hit server for lookup methos. now dcc chats and sends should work.

btw, putty = teh win
