eggdrop + router

Post by bast »

Hey.

Does anyone have a D-link 604 Router and running eggdrop.

Caus i have 6 different bots in my botnet, and i got one that sits behind a D-link router, i have setted this in DMZ mode so the ports shouldent block at all.
But for some reason my hub bot that should connect to this bot, dosen´t
All my other bots connects fine in the botnet, exept for this one.
I can connect it using .link bot2, but kinda annoying.
And yes this bot has the correct flags and that stuff.

So wonder if it´s the router that is blocking or something else perhaps, anyone that have this experience with a D-link.

I seriously doubt the router has anything to do with your conectivity problem, since you state you can manually link them via .link. I would check to verify that you have the correct flags set on both bots, and post them here if it looks ok to you

The hub bot has flags hp as it should

Code: Select all

HANDLE PASS NOTES FLAGS LAST
bot1 yes 0 blo 19:13 (linked)
BOT FLAGS: hp
HOSTS: *!*@*.se
*!*@*.se
ADDRESS: myadress1.mine.nu
users: xxxx, bots: xxxx
And the second bot has s flag. This bot is behind the router.

Code: Select all

 HANDLE PASS NOTES FLAGS LAST
^bot2^ yes 0 blo 19:15 (linked)
HOSTS: *!*@*.com
BOT FLAGS: s
ADDRESS: myadress2.mine.nu
users: xxxx, bots: xxxx
so this bot got the exact same layout as the rest of the bots, so it must be the router or something.

This occours when you don't properly add the address:port of the hub bot. Make sure the ip you've added in Leaf bot for HUB bot is correct. It happened to me, I corrected the port and it linked automatically.

I was refering to these hostmasks

Code: Select all

*!*@*.com
*!*@*.se
this is not only unwise, but kinda foolhardy

8) oh, well that's a good thing hehe
why don't you simply .deluser the bot, then readd him to your hub? Seems like the simpler solution to your dilemma

Tried that a couple of times.
It just seems as the second bot dosent tell the hub-bot when it comes online.

And all the other bot´s works and has the same setup and everything. exept that they arent behind a router.

This just annoys me abit, it´s kinda frustrated when you know everything else works, just not this bot. :?
