no idea what was wrong.
i fugured rehashing would have been enough.

tnx for the speedy responce.
Sometimes a simple .rehash does not correctly reset for whatever reason if, after upgrading any script, an unexplained error pops up it's always a good idea to restart your bot and then see if any error(s) persist.

I had to update the script to fix website's changes to U.S. forecasts, so v3.8.4 has been uploaded to the archive.

lol, they changed it back so that 3.8.3 works fine

I'll have to rework the dynamic regexp (which means I need them to change it again to get differences).

First post updated for new link to v3.8.4a.
Next time they change the website, I'll wait at least a day before "correcting" the script.

v3.8.3 should also work fine now also.

yet another rapid version session...

Post by DragnLord »

Version 3.8.5 has been uploaded to TCL archive, and a new temporary link is on the first post.
I changed some of the dynamic portions involving the forecasts, hopefully this version will hold for a while through minor site changes.
(3.8.3 worked fine for 10 months.)

As things tend to happen, I discovered a slight hitch in 3.8.5. Line 1066 should be deleted or commented out.
I will be putting 3.8.5a up for download soon.

This is only an issue for some Canadian queries.

Post by DragnLord »

I had to restructure part of the forecast parsing, 3.8.5b linked to in first post.

DragnLord thanks for keeping the script updated, I do have a suggestion... I was wondering if when you update it you can post to us what line to replace with what so we can edit it ourself and would help me learn more by seeing what needed to be done.. if not thats ok :D

I've mentioned before that there are programs people can use to compare files. UNIX and like systems have diff, unfortunately, I have no idea what's available for Windows.

I've found that the program ConTEXT works better in Windows (and it's free).
