hello guys,
im newbie, and need help,

i ran my bot on dalnet.
it said the nickname was invalid?
why didnt the bot use the alternative nick?

Simply release the nick.
-NickServ- Command - RELEASE
-NickServ- Usage - RELEASE <nick> [password]
Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.

err...
this release command. should i type it manually?
could it be in the bot config?

It's a "manual" thing.

Searching the Tcl Archive for an appropriate (DALnet compatible) identify script that has "ghosting" ability would probably help, such as Chanservneed.
