Possible to set new kick message for users with k flag?

Post by chasba »

Hi all,

just wondering if it is possible to change the default kick reason that users with k flag get on join? I am currently getting '...and thank you for playing.', but I would like something else, hopefully for each user with k flag.

Is this possible, or do I need some sort of script for it; if so, which one? Can something be done using userinfo.tcl? Hopefully someone in here will know.

Thanks!

Most internal eggdrop messages can be altered in this manner. Simply edit ust the core.*.lang file with the language your using.

Thank you, speechles.

However, does this mean that there is no way of making separate kick messages for each k flagged user?

Your assumption is correct, every +k user would be kicked with the identical message. If you want dynamic messages this is where scripting something up in tcl comes in.

I guess I will have to do some searching to see if such a script exists.

Thank you for your input.
