Can't contact eggdrop with command /msg nick hello

Hi.
I've set up my eggrop but now, when I try to contact my eggdrop with the command /msg nick hello ...... I don't receive any sort of answers.
What can I do?

Did you use the "word" you set it to in eggdrop config?
