problem sync'ing bans across botnet

Post by ZvOO »

I have sharing enabled across the botnet. The hub properly transfers user records/updates/changes to all botnet bots. It works well, with one exception. That is, the .+ban host bans that are set from the hub bot's DCC session don't transfer to the leaf bots like the other changes. So since the user record data is seemingly updated and correctly shared by all of the net bots whenever a hostmask or flag is changed/set from the hub, and since the channel ban data is contained in the userfile, what's the trick to getting .+ban bans to propagate to each net bot in the same way?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, no one has responded yet. For some reason it seems that my eggdrop issues have turned out to be ones without easy answers I guess. I somehow thought this one may just be something I've overlooked, though.

A bit more information: My hub bot sees its leaf bots with +gls botattr flags and each leaf sees the hub with +ghp botattr flags. They are running netbots v4.09 which seems to work fine. I've tried removing the g flag from the leaf bots and setting the |+s flag for each channel individually, but to no avail. Still only user record sharing occurs; there's no ban sync'ing at all across the botnet.

I find this strange since in the first paragraph on the Enhancing Your Eggdrop page of this site at http://www.egghelp.org/enhance.htm it says: "With userfile sharing, the bots can keep their user lists, ban lists, and ignore lists in sync with one another."

I'd really like to get this matter solved. Can anyone help?
