I have been running it for a few days now, and it looks like they fixed some of the cpu load bugs. ;)

I installed 2.5 on my bot and managed to get it to talk to me in a pm, but it will not chat in the channel. I am not impressed with this AI at all.

I have it running fine on my bot, but as others have stated it really loses its entertaintment value shortly after you start it.

Make sure you set the channel to +magahal +learnall.

How the hell do you set the channel to +megahal or +learnall?? /mode [#channel] +megahal just moderates the channel. What am I doing wrong? I got the bastard chatting fine in /query, though.

That is because you are using the wrong command, in the wrong place.

Eggdrop is like any other IRC client, and doesn't give you any extra channe or global modes commands.

The command you need, is ".chanset", which is done in the eggdrop partyline.

Hey, thanks. Like you said, I wasn't typing in the right place. Now the bot is speaking all sorts of nonsense and we're laughing our asses off while he's doing it :D I let him learn in a channel where people diss each other a lot and now he disses everyone that attempts to speak to him :)

Unless there are any pre-compiled binaries available with megahal compiled, you will have to download a compiler, and compile it yourself.

Aditionaly, I aint even sure megahal will compile on windows, without modifications.

See http://windrop.sf.net/ for details on compiling your own version of eggdrop on windows.
