i've been running this qstat4eggdrop for a very long period! I've ALWAYS had to re-install the windrop after suddenly and unmotivatedly getting the
couldn't duplicate input handle: bad file number
SOMETIMES after a reinstall, it works for some time again. Using a pre-1.5.3 version of eggdrop/windrop might also help to prolong the working time, at least I ran this windrop for almost 6 months untill it gave up on me again! But, after a while, I've always had to install a new version of windrop for it to start again! :(

The fault is unknown! It is supposed to be related to some IRC servers doing weird things when an eggdrop/windrop tries to execute an external program (The 'exec' function).

If some of you hardcore supercoders out there would explain/elaborate further on this, and even suggest how to fix it, It would be of tremendous help. IMHO, qstat4eggdrop is 1 of the most useable and smart scripts out there for eggies.

Heh, yeah qstat4eggdrop makes ur bot very good, many people just ask for the bot because of this script, and I still trying to fix that. I found out why it doesnt work for me. I removed all scripts except qstat4eggdrop and it works fine. Then I added 1 script by 1... and found out that qstat4eggdrop doesn't work if meteo (weather) script and / or statistic.tcl (kalich script) and / or newstats.tcl are running. If I remove those scripts from config everything works fine. There are many other scripts which I made and qstat4eggdrop works fine with them, so the problem is in other scripts. Maybe anyone know how to re-do qstat4eggdrop script so it would work. Thanks :D !

I did! Only running qstat4eggdrop. I tried numerous versions of windrop
Still, none of you Über-Eggy-Geeks want to elaborate? :)

TIA,

Well... I found out that this script does not work in Windows 2000, it works in Windows 98. Look here http://windrop.sourceforge.net/windropf ... r'%20error so... or eggdrop or not windows 2000 or XP.
