I taked that piece from Channel Guardian by DrN.. One of the most popular protection script(8396 downloads) .. (see online source)

I trying to do somethink better, i counted 6 "subst -nobackslashes -nocommands -novariables .." in that script, so i was been thinking what that is somethink important.. After reading the manual i still don't understand for what author ussing it.. So i was tried to get answer here.

So, it's do nothing ussefuly in this case? Just wasting cpu ? Cool ;)

I ran a quick test on it (the way he has it written) and it does indeed seem to do nothing. I'm not even sure if the syntax is right. It looked to me (from reading up on it) as though $text is supposed to be within braces i.e. subst -nocommands {$text}
Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.
