Then as a normal user the only way is to obtain a shell account (not free) that supports BNC's. Once that's done you can setup your flavour of bouncer (psyBNC being the better) and connect to it via your IRC client with your chosen virtual host. :)

If you can't get a bnc or whatever, live it with the fact they can see your ip.
