I made the following patch for a friend which seems to work fine. My copy of 4.2.4 never stopped working, so I don't know why it didn't work for some of you guys.

But this patch seems to solve the problem regardless.

Code: Select all

Hope it works for you guys.
outttitle is not initialized for a reason
those using your patch will have problems later on

Thank you for the patch.

The issue seems to have fixed itself for whatever reason, i had problems this morning, but they are no longer occurring. The bot appears to function with or without the patch at this point.

Thanks for looking into this, everyone!

These zip codes aren't working 15207, 15217, 15224 .. They are for Pittsburgh, Pa.. If I go to wunderground site they work, but in chat they don't display any results or errors.

SSH shows this error:

Code: Select all

[12:22] Tcl error [pub_wz]: can't read "idew": no such variable

This is because the reporting station does not show the required dew points. I'll fix it, but it will likely be a couple of days (setting up a new computer).

I suggest using KAGC for your Pitts. weather until I make the adjustments.

The server hosting the script is now down.
When I can locate my copy of the script I will upload it to the archive.

I see those zip codes work now, but I guess cause it don't need dew points at this time?

They have worked since the day after you posted that there were problems. This also means there was nothing for me to fix.

I am having difficulties with my weather script.

I am using version 4.2.4.

Everytime someone tries to use the weather script we get nothing. The bot simply just freezes up, and pings out. It returns shortly after.

[20:59] Tcl error [pub_wz]: can't read "outtitle": no such variable

We're just doing the simple .wz zipcode example .wz 44305

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

I'm not getting that issue, please make sure the bot is able to connect to the website.
