I dont know where else to turn.
I host a bot on my system (Suse linux 10.2)
My eggdrop works on every server BUT this one. I tried thier support channel and they are completly flabbergasted.
it connects and promptly "times out" there is nothing wrong with my config, all my ports are open, and like I said I works on any other server I put it on!
I can connect to telnet (not dcc.. thats a WHOLE nother issue!)
I try and .msg myself and get this:
[22:07] [!h] PRIVMSG Krash :hi
Msg to Krash: hi
[22:07] [h->] PRIVMSG Krash :hi
and joining channels I get:
[22:08] [!m] JOIN #sfu
[22:08] [m->] JOIN #sfu

The bot connects, but then times out? Or it doesn't connect at all?
What setting do you have for 'set net-type'
and, did you look in the logs for actual error messages?

Can you elaborate? Also, post anything relevant in the logs.

It won't.

as far as the hassling I meant it asked for a password which I was inputting manually (no scripts loaded since I was debugging)

Is the bot ignoring nickserv for flooding? Add nickserv to the bot's userlist and make it exempt from flood protection.

set your console +rv and see what happens
some ircds (not the main ones though) are in the habit of breaching the IRC protocol by not letting the client know it's been disconnected
connection, sharing, dcc problems? click
<here>
before asking for scripting help, read
<this>
use

And you're still not getting any relevent msgs in your logs or console, which means you don't have the right modes set for them.
