Megahal

i got the megahal module loaded and comiled in the
eggdrop.... but it isnt saying anything...
mabey i have the files in the wrong directory i dont think i do .. but
anyhow... it says it is loaded... but it does not speak

please guide me ....

It will not talk unless it is asked to talk.

In the compile instructions, t says you should edit one of the .c files, to suit your needs.

The words you edit are the triggers.

i did edit the files it said to edit...
megahal.c i followed the directions and
added a personality after i saw the eggdrop
startup sat cannot find personality megahal.trn ... but alas nothing.... thats why i posted here....
what do you mean by asked to talk? that isnt in the instructions... if i ask in the channel botnick hi it should respond correct?

What values did you change in the megahal.c file?

You should be able to type "<word-set-in-megahal.c> hello"

Get the modified version by BarkerJr. You don't even have to edit the source... Just use <bot's-current-nick>: hello ...

It didn't quite work though. Once i prompted the bot with something the partyline got flooded (>10msg/sec) with a double-free error message and load on the machine went way up. :s
