Eggdrop ported to work with RedHat

Post by banjolawyer »

Here is an exchange between my website host and I. Can anyone help me find a copy of eggdrop which is ported to work with RedHat?

Host: We are facing a small probelm that maybe you can help with. We cannot find a copy ported to work on RedHat. The only one has been on Mandrake and it's not working correctly with Redhat :-(
BanjoLawyer: how can I help - find a copy that will work with RedHat?
Host: Do you know of anyone who has ported it to redaht?
Webzonics: RedHat
BanjoLawyer: I will inquire, and will send you a link when I find it.
Host: Thanks. We had not given up on the Mandrake copy, we were continuing to try to get it operational.
Host: If you can find a copy where we could not, then it will help us

Eggdrop is designed to run on Linux, *BSD, SunOs, Windows,
Mac OS X, etc ...

Therefore, it shouldn't need any special port, to a certain distro
of linux, like redhat.

I have it running fine on red hat, and have used it on red hat
versions 7.0-8.0 without any issues.

If they are having issues, they could post them here, and receive
help getting it sorted...
