Post by Cyberwulf »

Here is a transcript of me explaining my problem:

<Cyberwulf> happy new year!
<Cyberwulf> I have a problem... Ive tried to look at my bot's log file for 01.01.2003 and it's missing...
<simon-> crappy new year!
<simon-> ah yeah, that's the Y2Ke0.003 bug
<Cyberwulf> so are the logs for 27th, 28th, 29th and 31th also missing
<simon-> does the directory have correct permissions?
<Cyberwulf> yes
<simon-> is your eggdrop configured to log?
<Cyberwulf> the bot has written logs for the past 2 years
<Cyberwulf> never had this problem before
<Cyberwulf> funny it wrote one for the 30th though

Has a single thing been changed with the config file?

Try enabling more console flags, and sitting there, waiting to see what happens.

Is the quota of the shell full? Try archiving some of the old logs, off shell, then delete them (you can place them back later if you so wish), see if that help any.

Does a .rehash or .restart help any.

well... suddenly the bot got a 'EOF From client'... so i went and restareted it... now it seems to be logging again... ill keep a watch onit a couple of days... maybe this was something temporary, cause i shouldnt have any shell limit.

Too bad I lost the New Year's Eve's log though...
