Problem with dcc if “set my-ip” is configured on virt interf

Post by Miro »

DCC chat to my eggdrop will not work with this configuration. I also try ctcp chat and that work without any problems.

This is data of my server and my eggdrop. IP addresses and host names are changed, but in real configuration are public IP addresses and valid hostnames used.

Server:
eth0 10.10.10.1/24
eth0:1 10.20.20.1/24

Eggdrop:
eggdrop version: 1.6.15
set my-ip “10.20.20.1”
or
set my-hostname “test.mydomain.com”

# test.mydomain.com is a valid domain and refer to the IP address configured on eth0:1
If I remove configuration "set my-ip" or "set my-hostaname" DCC will work fine.

Where is your problem? just use my-hostname as me, too XD. If you expertice any problems only using one of them you should name them :).

PS: arent network adapters ordered as eth0, eth1, eth2, ...?! XD
