The only text into /etc/ld.so.conf when i open it with nano is:

/usr/X11R6/lib

To install manualy i take the following steps: wget ftp://ftp.eggheads.org/pub/eggdrop/source/1.6/eggdrop1.6.18.tar.gz then tar zxvf eggdrop1.6.18.tar.gz cd eggdrop1.6.18 R14722:~/eggdrop1.6.18# dir aclocal.m4 channels.so config.log console.so disabled_modules eggdrop.conf help logs misc scripts src...

the tcl is locate at:

/usr/lib/libtcl8.4.so.0

thats the result of
"locate libtcl tcl.h"

i will try to uninstall eggdrop via Webmin and make manuell install with compile. I will give you feedback over the results.

to install eggdrop i used the webmin interface there is an apt pakage to install eggdrop.

the install of tcl is since from 6month. So i dont know with installationstype is used..
