Port

Post by gk^ »

What ports do I have to open in my firewall to allow my bot to send its user-/chan-file to another bot?

It does not use the same port everytime.

Is there any particular reason why you are blocking outgoing connections.

Lol

try not setting a default rule of drop...

Instead just block the usual dangerous ports...

(dont worry - i had this problem once as well..)

There is yes ...

If you set your basic rule to accept and then only drop the ports like netbios and so on then they wont be blocked.

To drop all then accept the ones you want is safer, but then takesa lot more work if you are a power user ... and if you use any software that uses multi-ports...

It is likely that the connection is not being established.

I sugest you use log output from any firewalls, to see what ports are in use.
