When the going gets tough....

Post by deebeeseven »

When the going gets tough....get someone with a clue to do it for you.

I had a look at the imdb2 script as a load of users wanted me to add something to it, that is about as far as i got. looking.
They want me to add a switch to display the financial info for the film, a freind has managed to achieve this with shell scripting using lynx....but i was wondering if anyone could help me with using tcl. Here is what i know

the info needed is not on the main page, so the script would have to "harvest" a new page. http://207.171.166.140/Business? with the film number after the ?. the info needed is at the top...here is an example (spiderman)
Opening Weekend:
EUR 5,645,085 (10 June 2002) (Italy) (580 screens)
CAD 11,885,846 (Canada) (3 May 2002) (245 screens)
EUR 5,641,965 (Italy) (9 June 2002) (500 screens)
EUR 5,014,690 (Spain) (23 June 2002) (512 screens)
£9.426m (UK) (16 June 2002) (509 screens)
$114.844m (USA) (5 May 2002) (3615 screens)

can anyone think of how to do this...if so...then would you mind doing so (or pointing me to where i can find out how to parse the data)...i can only take moaning DivX racers for so long :-?
