i dont have contact whit the server the bot runs on =( i know there is a command, but i can´t remeber it

The only way *I* know is to use botnick.tcl listed here on slennox's site. Then the command is .botnick <newnick>

Good thing, But i always wondered.. how do we change nick thru dcc by help of .set (assuming it as enabled)
.set nick newnick changes the botnick for a millisecond before it gets back to its original, conf-set nickname. Any workaround to make it so that it doesnt do that..
No TCLs please, I'd like to see eggdrop in action.

Hello, have you tried typing in the partyline .dump nick newnick? try .dump nick testnick and see whether it works or not

This would not work.
It would initialy have the same result as attempting to use ".set nick".
Eggdrop would receive confirmation of change (possibly an error), and change back tot he config file set nickname.
