Quicky got egg1612 up and running lokin in my user file ive set my host for my ip and my bnc so i can connect both ways,but dont know how to set my telnet host so only me can telnet to it how do i do it .is it a command in the console window or do i edit my .conf file as *@* which it has now isnt safe

First off, ".help" in the partyline is your friend.

Second of all, look at the commands ".whois" and ".-host"

telnet!*@* how do i change it for *@* to jsmoke@my.ip

You can't change a host.

However, you can remove, then add a host.

The help files, and ".help" are very good.

Have you considered using ".help +host" and ".help -host". Or even just ".help" to get a list of commans?
