Response (password hash) from YRUS0Mean incorrect

Post by Shagman68 »

I have 20 bots on my botnet, from 5 different shells, and it works great. I also set up an alt-hub-bot with the botattr +a command, and this is where the problem is. When the main hub goes down, only 5 of my bots from different shells, will link to the alt-hub. Why are they so picky? I cannot find an inch of code outta place. I even tried to ftp the netset.tcl file into one of the non-password accepting bots, and it still gets an invalid password hash message. What do i do to make the alt-hub werk?

This is an eggdrop error, not a netbots.tcl one. It's related to the md5 checking, but I can't assist with the problem.

I have found that the crypto configurations on shells tend to vary, rather annoyingly, especially on larger shell boxes (providers). The best you could try, is to find which box can run as an alt-hub for the majority of the bots, and just use that one.
