Trouble adding hosts

Post by Weirdo »

One of my Co-owners has got themselves a new isp. I added their new ip address and prehosts to their userfile, as well as their laptops. Problem is, the bot doesnt recognise them. The !seen recognises them for who they are, but when it comes to giving out the greeting and opping them, it just doesnt do anything. Any ideas?

mirc whois on the user

merle is nothing@81.6.<<>> * Kara
merle on @#cometanime
Bot Settings for user

[12:13:35] <Minako> HOSTS: *!*nothi*@81.6.<<>>, *!*nothi*@81.6.<<>>
[12:13:35] <Minako> mer*!*@81.6.<<>>, mer*!*@81.6.<<>>
The Ips are correct to what mirc tell me using the /dns command

First off.

The fact you say seen operates, means that things are working, sorta :P

This sounds like a classic case of conflicting hostmaks.

You will need to review your user-records, to see about these conflicting hosts.
