Linking Bots

I want to link 2 bots. I read the Enhancing your eggdrop section and followed all the listed steps. When the leaf bot starts to connect to the hub bot it says "Lost connection while identing", does anyone recognize the problem i am having ?

The quickest way around this, is to use a identd server.
