international (swedish) characters

I've stumled across a very annoying problem with netbots. When I'm trying to do any botnet commands that has a swedish character in the argument the letter preceding the swedish letter gets transformed into the previous letter in the alphabet on all bots except for the one i'm typing the command in. Example:

At bot1 i type ".netsay Gnabbe hej på dig" ("hello there" in swedish)
From bot1 user Gnabbe gets "hej på dig"
From bot2 user Gnabbe gets "hej oå dig"
From bot3 user Gnabbe gets "hej oå dig" and so on.

As you might already have figured out this makes it impossible to make the whole botnet join a channel containing swedish letters. Only the bot in which i type the command will join the correct channel (like #kävlinge). All the other bots will join some bogus channel name (like #jävlinge).

I don't know if this is a problem specific to netbots but I hope someone here knows what the problem might be.

  eggdrop 1.4.5
  tcl 8.0.5

Only eggdrop 1.6+ is currently supported.

1.4 is now very out of date, and changes will never take place on this version again (even serious security flaws).

A lot of work to fix support for this has taken place in 1.6, so the only sugestion is to try it.
