i wonder what rfc1459.c is for?
and as i know eggdrop is strict rfc1459 conform, or isnt it?

i was thinking more about how they link eachother, talk to eachother etc.. stuff like that

you are talking about a botnet!? bots opping each other, sharing userfiles, forward seen requests etc.?

digitaldj: You might wanna check out botnet.c and tandem.h in eggdrop1.x.x/src folder. That's where the botnet protocol is.

rfc1459.c defines a set of functions, that will turn outgoing traffic, into IRC compatable text.

It has no real purpose other than to prevent nasty characters going where they shouldn't.
